Traces and imprints are under huge threat in modern Sweden. We build new, we rebuild. We make improvements and changes. But the risk is that while doing so, we erase our own story. At the same time, we are very anxious to tell a story.
In my degree project, I am investigating how we can retain the imprints that are left by someone else and how they can interact with those of others.
How would a space in constant change work?
Can we build a space that other people can adopt and make their own and afterwards pass it on without erasing its history, thereby allowing it to be an ongoing space?
Spår och avtryck är idag under stort hot i Sverige. Vi bygger nytt och bygger om. Vi förbättrar och förändrar. Men i detta finns en risk för att vi spacklar bort vår historia. Samtidigt är vi angelägna om att berätta en historia. I detta arbete undersöker jag hur vi kan förvalta de avtryck som människor lämnar på en plats och hur dessa kan samspela med tillägg.
Hur skulle ett levande rum i konstant förändring fungera?
Kan vi bygga rum som andra kan ta vid och göra till sitt, för att sedan lämna till nästa utan att radera dess historia och låta det vara ett pågående rum?
