I make sculptures in clay that I visualise in a circle, physically and symbolically. They belong together, because I intend them to. My work is intuitive, built on association. I want my work to include the cooperation with the material processes, balancing the realm between depth and playfulness.
My exploration of the ceramic process is a material manifestation that gives physical form to the non-material experiences I want to share. Beginning with the first intention, through the making in clay and ash glaze, it is finally transformed into a solid form through the firing process. It has been done.
Jag gör skulpturer i lera som jag visualiserar i en cirkel, fysiskt och symboliskt. De hör ihop för att jag ger dem den intentionen. Min metod är intuitiv och bygger på association. Jag ser mina skulpturer som skisser i lera där vägen fram är viktig för resultatet. Lek och allvar blandat.
Mitt utforskande av den keramiska processen fungerar som materiell manifestering. Att ge det som vill fram fysisk form och plats i världen. Från första intention, till görandet i lera och askglasyr, slutligen transformeras till fast form genom elden. Det är då gjort.
